Each travel supplier we work with on cruises, tours or land package vacations on price matching requests have their own nuance to their requirements but generally speaking here is what will be needed/required for a price match (this is not an all inclusive list)
- Some type of proof such as a screen shot, a quote from the other company, etc., dated on the same day as securing your reservation with Cruise Planners of Kansas City. This proof MUST clearly show the pricing you are wanting matched along with listing all the details of the quote, i.e. resort name, category of room category of cabin, etc.
- Competing quote must be from a US based travel agency, US based tour company or US based internet company.
- The competing suppliers proof must be for the same like number/type of passengers (adults/child), same resort/hotel, same category cabin, same category room, etc.
- If your reservations include airline flights then it has to be for the same number of people in the same class of cabin. Each supplier has slight differences such as the original quoted flights must be within a certain number of hours of the flight offered by the travel supplier we are asking to price match with (i.e. +/- 2 hours), has to be same type of flight (ie. non-stop or connecting).
- Price matching can only be requested within a set time period from creating a reservation with Cruise Planners of Kansas City from the new travel supplier we are requesting a price match from, for example 24 hours.
- There can only be one price match granted. In other words, price matching will not continue on and on.
- Everything on the competing quote MUST be available to be booked at the time of the price match request. Available means that the other agent's or operator's quote is current, genuine and available to be booked at the time you present it to us. Price matching is generally available only for exact itinerary matches, for example specific carrier or provider, ship and cabin category and the exact same dates and times of travel or service and must be available to the general public in the USA. Fares must be compared with like fare restrictions. Price matching is not available for bookings on websites where the carrier, property or similar booking details are unknown until after purchase.
- Each tour company or land package travel supplier has the final say as to whether or not they will price match against a competitor.
Basically, to be able to price match you have to be apples to apples (not oranges to apples) and the tour or land package must available to be booked (not sold out or no longer available).
