Susan G. Komen is making the biggest impact in the fight against breast cancer. In 1980, Nancy Brinker promised her dying sister, Susan G. Komen, she would do everything in her power to end breast cancer forever. In 1982, that promise became Susan G. Komen organization and launched the global breast cancer movement. The Komen organization has one promise: To save lives and end breast cancer forever. The Komen’s motivation: Every 60 seconds, somewhere in the world, someone dies from breast cancer. - To date, the Susan G. Komen organization has invested more than $2.6 billion in research and lifesaving community programs.
- The Komen organization began in 1982 with a single grant for $28,000. Now they have invested more than $847 million in research.
- The Komen organization currently manages more than 500 active research grants totaling nearly $300 million.
- The Komen organization has invested more than $1.8 billion in community grants since 1982. Their network of affiliates annually funds nearly 1,300 community organizations providing education, screening, patient navigation and emergency financial support for those facing breast cancer in their communities.
- Komen’s investments have helped drive down breast cancer mortality rates by 34% since 1990. The five-year relative survival rate for early stage breast cancer is now 99% compared to 74% in 1982.

We in turn will donate half of the sales proceeds to the Susan G. Komen organization. This offer is valid on any length vacation and with any cruise or land vacation supplier. It’s also valid with any other specials you may qualify for with the cruise or land vacation supplier, i.e. past guest discounts, etc. We do have a few restrictions and they are listed below.

Terms and Conditions:
1. This promotion is valid starting October 1, 2015, and ends at 11:59pm CDT on October 31, 2015.
2. Valid on any new cruise or land vacation package booked during the promotion period.
3. Valid for travel starting October 1, 2015, through July 31, 2016.
4. This promotion is combinable with any cruise or vacation package supplier promotion in effect at the time of booking.
5. This promotion is sponsored by Cruise Planners of Kansas City and not by any cruise or land vacation package supplier. No cruise or land vacation package supplier is participating in this promotion nor are they sponsoring it in any way.
6. Cruise Planners of Kansas City is not marking up the price of any cruise or land vacation packages with any additional amount.
7. Proceeds on cruise or land vacation packages are not paid to Cruise Planners of Kansas City until after the client has traveled. Therefore, the sales proceeds from travel to be donated to the Susan G. Komen organization will be donated in the month AFTER the client has traveled. For example, client travels in April 2016. Cruise Planners of Kansas City doesn’t receive any proceeds from clients travel until clients return in April 2016, and funds will be donated to the Susan G. Komen organization in May 2016.
8. Donations made to the Susan G. Komen organization will not be identified with any client information. All donations will be done once a month and will be made on behalf of the clients of Cruise Planners of Kansas City.
9. Clients of Cruise Planners of Kansas City will not realize any tax deductibility as donations will not be made in individual’s names.
10. This promotion may be withdrawn at any time and without notice.
11. Any disagreement in regards to this promotion or any of its terms and conditions will be decided by Cruise Planners of Kansas City and will be final.
